Ellen Page, taking down lesbian rumors on SNL?

Ellen's turn at SNL was, for the most part, pretty bad, but it ended with with a sketch that'll be talked about for awhile.

There are two things I make of this sketch, which are two things I've been saying about Ellen all along:

1. She isn't a lesbian. It's a comedy sketch, it's meant to poke fun at rumors, not to confirm someone's sexuality.
2. As suggested by Andy Samberg's line at the end, even if she was, it just shouldn't matter.

I really liked it, and I think you are right in saying that even if she was a lesbian it really doesn't matter

Or she is a lesbian and was trying to say that it shouldn't matter to anyone because it's her life and she can hug any woman with her legs if she wants to.
She was making a quiet statement to all the haters, telling them to leave her alone.
