Smart People is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next year. The movie also stars Dennis Quaid, Thomas Haden Church and recently crowned unsexiest woman alive Sarah Jessica Parker. Yep, I just had to rub it in.

Juno, Ellen picks up Spirit Award noms
Juno picked up a Spirit Award nomination for best film of the year, and Ellen picked up a nomination for best actress.
The Spirit Awards are given out annually by Los Angeles-based Film Independent, which supports moviemakers working outside Hollywood's major studios or within the studios' specialty film divisions.
The awards have become an important barometer for which low-budget and art house films might compete for Oscars, Golden Globes and other honors during Hollywood's annual awards season.

NY Mag article
NY Mag has a new article on Ellen. Read it here.
It was only a few days ago when I was talking to someone about how Ellen compares to Johnny Depp. Certainly don't know a "Logan Hill" though.

Win some Juno stuff
Looks like Fox decided to launch a street team for Juno. Lordess I'm having awful flashbacks to the likes TeamIAG and Hypecouncil. You'll find a link to join on the official Juno website.
The grand prize is a private screening of Juno with the cast and up to 100 guests, and a Les Paul Gibson Standard Goldtop Guitar worth over $3,400. Ten runner-ups will receive Juno prize packs.

Guess who's a holiday hottie
Ellen is one of Movies.com's ten holiday hotties.
Random funny note: Because my email provider cuts email subjects short, this showed up in my mailbox as "Ellen Page a Ho". The full title was "Ellen Page a Holiday Hottie on Movies.com"
(thanks Elise)

Moving day
Moved the site. Seamlessly. You shouldn't have noticed a thing. Except I took down the forums and media sections, which I'll get around to.

Ellen Page, less scary than Kathy Bates
IMDB ran a poll today entitled "'Art Snob' offers a list of 10 infamous cinematic crazy ladies; of whom are most afraid?". Among the choices was Ellen Page in Hard Candy.
She has about 1200 votes right now (I suppose it's not tomorrow yet), which is nowhere as much as what Kathy Bates got for Misery (7400).
